How to Get Ice Gloves

Ice gloves are handy in multiple quests like Recipe for Disaster and Heroes’ Quest. They can also be used in several skilling locations including Blast Furnace, Giants’ Foundry, and catching infernal eels.

• Level 50 Mining (boostable)
• Pickaxe
• Ability to defeat the Level 111 Ice Queen

• Where: White Wolf Mountain ice dungeon (Ice Queen)
• Required: 50 Mining (boostable) + pickaxe + ability to kill Ice Queen (111)

• Tip: Protect from Melee + fire spells

• Food
• Prayer potion (if using Protect from Melee)
• Fire spells / runes (or ranged/melee alternative)
• Stamina/energy potions (optional)

To get to the Ice Queen, you’ll first have to go through a sort of “maze” beneath White Wolf Mountain. The quickest way to get there is by taking a gnome glider. If you don’t have access to the gnome glider, you can also get there from Catherby or Falador.

Bring along a pickaxe and any combat equipment, food, or potions necessary to defeat the level 111 Ice Queen. She only attacks with melee and is weak to fire spells. You’ll also have to avoid ice warriors, ice giants, and ice spiders the entire time – so if you are lower level, protect from melee will help.

Once you arrive at the above location, right click and mine the rocks.

After mining the rocks, follow the path east. Take the southernmost ladder down.

Once you are down in the cave, head west → up ladder. Here is a map of the entire cave so you can see if you are the right track.

After you climb up the ladder, take the easternmost ladder down back into the cave. Ice giants patrol these ladders so be careful!

Go all the way around the cave and continue along the path while trying to avoid all monsters. Take the ladder up and there is only one ladder back down, so take that one.

Head north and you will see the Ice Queen! She is surrounded by ice warriors so you might need to run around a bit and avoid aggro from them to be able to attack her.

The Ice Queen only attacks with melee, so if you have protect from melee, you are good to go! She is weak to magic – especially fire spells and she can also be poisoned. If you need to safe spot her, you can do so in the eastern part of the cave behind the stalagmites. Once you defeat her she will drop a pair of ice gloves. Feel free to get as many gloves as you want!
