Ides of Milk Quest Guide (OSRS)

The Ides of Milk is a brand new free-to-play quest in Old School RuneScape that unlocks the Cow Boss, Brutus.

There are no skill or item requirements, but you will need to defeat a level 30 enemy.

• Coll bell amulet (teleports you to the Lumbridge cow pen)
• Access to Brutus boss fights
• 1,000 XP lamp usable on any combat skill

The entirety of the quest takes place around Lumbridge.

1. Cassius + Quest Start
2. Seth Groats
3. Gillie Groats
4. Duke Horacio
5. Cow Boss (Brutus)

How to Start Ides of Milk

1. Speak with Cassius, just northwest of Lumbridge Castle.
2. After the conversation, head over the nearby bridge to find Seth Groats on the other side of the River Lum.

Talk to Seth Groats and Read the Book

1. Speak with Seth Groats.
2. Go to the bookshelf and read his book.

Visit Gillie Groats in the Cow Pen

1. Head to the Lumbridge cow pen.
2. Speak with Gillie Groats.

Return to Cassius With the Book

1. Go back to Cassius.
2. Give him the book.
3. He will give you a milk sample. Drink it, then speak with him again.

Try to Get a Permit From Duke Horacio

1. Go inside Lumbridge Castle.
2. Speak with Duke Horacio to request a permit.
3. He refuses and doesn’t want to be involved in the Groats’ business.

Get the Permit From Gillie

1. Return to Gillie Groats in the cow pen.
2. She will have you drink the other milk sample.
3. Agree to help by dealing with the bull bothering her herd.

Defeat Brutus (Level 30)

1. Fight Brutus, the Cow Boss. He is level 30 and attacks with melee.
2. If you see *snorts* or *growls* above his head, move out of the way.
3. Defeat Brutus to continue.

Finish the Quest

1. After the fight, speak with Gillie Groats again.
2. Return to Cassius to complete the quest.

Claim Your Rewards

1. Return to Gillie Groats to claim your rewards.
2. You receive a Coll bell amulet (teleports you to the Lumbridge cow pen), access to fighting Brutus, and a 1,000 XP lamp usable on any combat skill.
