Overview
The Lumberjack outfit provides a 2.5% Woodcutting XP bonus and is a must-have for any player training the skill efficiently. This guide covers the fastest and most consistent method to get the Lumberjack outfit using Temple Trekking, with minimal combat and very little RNG frustration. By following the route and encounter strategy outlined below, most players can complete the full outfit in under 30 minutes, and often much faster with good RNG.
Requirements
- In Aid of the Myreque – 25 Agility, 25 Crafting, 15 Mining, 7 Magic
- Bring an axe, knife, and food. Lower combat levels will need better combat equipment and additional food.
Recommended: Darkness of Hallowvale – 5 Construction, 20 Mining, 22 Thieving, 26 Agility, 32 Crafting, 33 Magic, 40 Strength
Location

Start at the north gate of Burgh de Rott
The quickest methods would be Morytania legs 3 or 4, Mor’ton teleport scrolls, Barrows Teleport (via teleport tabs, teleporting using the Arceuus spellbook, or a portal from your POH). A minigame teleport to Shades of Mort’ton can also get you there very quickly.
Strategy
To begin choose to escort Fyiona Fray north to Paterdomus. Route 1 allows you to evade all combat related encounters and focus solely on finding the encounter where you can get a lumberjack outfit piece.

The Lumberjack Outfit Encounter (Most Important Part)
There is only one Temple Trekking encounter where you can obtain a Lumberjack outfit piece, and this is the encounter you should be looking for on every run. Kill the zombies until one of them drops a Lumberjack outfit piece. Each piece has a 1 in 4 chance of dropping, and you will always receive a piece you do not already own.

Note: There is another zombie encounter that looks very similar to the correct one, but you cannot get any Lumberjack outfit pieces from it. The incorrect encounter has trees in the circled area and does not drop Lumberjack pieces.
If the first wave of zombies does not drop an outfit piece, you can simply wait for additional zombie waves to spawn. This usually takes around 30 seconds and does not require leaving the encounter. Once you receive a Lumberjack piece, you are finished with this event — you can only obtain one outfit piece per encounter.
After getting the drop, use the planks on the bridge to repair it and continue your trek.

Evading Unnecessary Encounters
For maximum efficiency, you should evade all encounters except the Lumberjack zombie bridge event. Skipping them significantly reduces completion time and minimizes combat, especially for lower combat level players.

One Encounter You Cannot Evade
There is only one encounter that can’t be evaded. Use your knife to cut 3 vines from the smaller trees, then wind the vines together to make a Long vine. Throw the Long vine to the larger tree’s branch and swing over the river. If you do not have an axe or knife, search the nearby backpack to find one.

Repeat the Process
After completing a trek north to Paterdomus, you’ll need to escort the mage back to Burgh de Rott to begin another run. From there, repeat the same process each time: guide Fyiona Fray or the mage along Route 1, evade unnecessary encounters, and only stop when you find the correct zombie bridge encounter that drops a Lumberjack outfit piece.

Continue repeating these runs until you have collected all four pieces of the Lumberjack outfit. With average luck, most players can complete the full set in under 30 minutes, and with good RNG, it can be significantly faster.
Once finished, you’ll not only have the complete Lumberjack outfit, but also several Temple Trekking reward tokens, which can be exchanged for supplies or XP tomes.
