Tithe Farm Guide: Best Method, Rewards & Calculator - Video Guide

Last Updated: January 27, 2026

Overview

Tithe Farm is a Farming minigame in Old School RuneScape where players plant, water, and harvest crops in timed growth cycles instead of waiting for traditional farming patches to grow. It’s one of the few ways to train Farming actively while also earning points that can be spent on useful rewards like Auto-weed, the Herb Sack, Seed Box, and more.

This guide covers the best method to use, how to avoid common mistakes, and how to consistently earn both Farming XP and Tithe Farm points. If you want to how many fruits you’ll need for certain rewards or to achieve a certain level, we have a Tithe Farm calculator.

Requirements

  • 34 Farming (minimum to enter Tithe Farm)
  • Higher Farming levels (54 & 74) unlock better seeds, increasing XP and point rates
  • Seed dibber
  • Spade
  • 10 watering cans (can be refilled at the farm)

Optional:

  • Runes for Humidify to refill watering cans quickly
  • RuneLite and low ping (helps with timing and consistency)

If you forget tools, a Tool Leprechaun is located at the farm.

Quick Summary

  • Best method: 25×4 strategy (grow 25 fruits across 4 cycles). It still works even if 1–2 plants die — you’ll always end up with more than 20 fruits.
  • Always deposit in groups of 100 fruits to maximize XP and Tithe Farm points
  • Higher Farming levels (54 & 74) improve XP and point rates
  • Most important rewards: Auto-weed, Herb Sack, Seed Box
  • Use the Tithe Farm calculator to see fruits needed

Location

Tithe Farm is located in south-eastern Hosidius on Great Kourend.

Fastest ways to get there:

  • House teleport to Hosidius
  • Xeric’s talisman teleport
  • Fairy Ring (AKR)

After your first visit, you can use the Minigame Teleport for even quicker access.

Strategy

Tithe Farm can look complicated at first, but this method keeps things consistent and repeatable. The 25×4 strategy focuses on growing 25 fruits across 4 cycles, allowing you to deposit the maximum 100 fruits per run for the best XP and points.

How Tithe Farm Works

Each plant must be:

  1. Planted
  2. Watered three times
  3. Harvested once fully grown

Depositing 100 fruits at once is the most you can deposit which all gives the maximum xp and points.

Starting the Route

Begin at the bottom of the second patch from the right, where the number 1 is located in the image above.

As you move up the patch:

  • Click to plant
  • Immediately click to water once the orange circle appears
  • Plant the seed patch as soon as the circle turns blue

Staying in rhythm is more important than rushing.

Crossing the Aisle (Important Rule)

When moving to the next patch, always click the ground across the aisle first before planting.

If you plant without clicking across first, your character will move inefficiently and waste time.

You do NOT want to end up in this spot.

Two Patch Zig-Zag

After crossing the aisle, you’ll work two rows together in a zig-zag pattern:

Start with the single patch on the right, then plant two on the left, two on the right, finish the left side, and end with the last patch on the right.

This pattern helps your character move efficiently between rows.

The Third Top Patch

After you finish up the two patch zig-zag, you can click to plant in the next patch over on the left. You don’t have to worry about pathing because your character will move there efficiently. Continue down this patch planting and watering the seeds one by one until you have to cross the aisle again.

Just like you did previously, click the ground across the aisle first before planting and watering the next seed.

Two Patch Zig-Zag (again)

Once again, you will complete two patches at once utilizing a zig-zag strategy similar to the other two patch section.

Final Patch

The 25th patch is a single standalone patch. Make sure you plant and water it before continuing.

Repeat the Cycles

Once all 25 patches are planted and watered the first time, repeat the same path two more times, watering only.

Between cycles, refill watering cans using Humidify or the water barrels.

Why This Method Works

Even if one or two of the earliest plants die, you’ll still usually end with more than 20 fruits, which is why this method is reliable and forgiving.

Harvest everything once fully grown and always deposit in groups of 100 fruits for the maximum XP and points.

Repeat until you reach your goal.

Logging Out Tip

If you log out, harvested fruit stays in your inventory, but any planted crops disappear. So make sure to harvest before logging out!

Rewards

You can spend your points at Farmer Gricoller’s Reward Shop.

Recommended unlock order:

  • Auto-weed – Only 50 points and permanently stops weeds from growing. This is the best early unlock for quality of life.
  • Herb Sack – Very useful for Slayer and herb gathering, especially for ironmen.
  • Seed Box – Helpful for managing seeds during Slayer or general skilling.
  • Gricoller’s Can – Useful if you plan on doing a lot of Tithe Farm, as it reduces how often you need to refill watering cans.
  • Farmer’s Outfit – Mostly for collection loggers or players training Farming well past level 99.
  • Straw Hat – Required for an elite clue step.

If you’re unsure what to prioritize, Auto-weed is the safest first purchase for nearly all accounts.

Tithe Farm Calculator (XP, Runs & Rewards)

Tithe Farm math can get confusing quickly, especially when planning how many runs you need for a reward or a specific Farming level.

To make this easier, you can use the Tithe Farm calculator below to see:

  • How many fruits you need for a reward or level
  • How many runs it will take
  • XP gained

This is especially useful if you’re working toward items like Auto-weed, the Herb Sack, or the Farmer’s Outfit and want to plan efficiently.
