Overview
The Amulet of Glory is one of the most useful early-to-mid game items for Ironman accounts in Old School RuneScape. With its solid stats and built-in teleports, it saves time and boosts efficiency across tons of activities.
There are 3 main methods to getting an amulet of glory:
Method 1 (Recommended): Crafting one from scratch
Method 2: Hunting dragon implings
Method 3: Hard clue scrolls
In this guide, I’ll walk you through each method, the requirements, pros and cons, and which one is best depending on your account’s progression.
Requirements
Method 1 – Crafting (Recommended)
Requirements: Level 80 Crafting, Dragonstone, Gold Bar, Amulet Mold, Ball of Wool, Level 68 Magic
Optional Boosts: Spicy stew (+5 Crafting), Mushroom pie (+4 Crafting), Wizard’s mind bomb (+3 Magic)

This is the best method because you’ll need a high Crafting level eventually anyway when you’re going for Zenyte jewelry later on. Getting it done early saves you the grind later and gives you a reliable, repeatable way to make glories.
Ironman Crafting Guide – Two Simple Methods
1. Shooting Stars + Gem Bags
- Mine crashed stars for Stardust.
- Trade Stardust for gem bags from Dusuri in Falador.
- Cut uncut gems from the bags
- Turn the gems into jewellery with gold bars
2. Glassblowing
- Collect seaweed (or giant seaweed) and sand (fossil island, charter ships, quarry mining, Bert, etc.).
- Use a furnace (or Superglass Make spell) to turn them into molten glass.
- Use a glassblowing pipe to make orbs and lenses.
If you’re just shy of the Crafting or Magic level, use temporary boosts to reach the requirement. This is a great all-around method and the one most ironmen end up using.
Crafting an Amulet of Glory
Once you reach level 80 Crafting, create a Dragonstone amulet (u) by using a Gold Bar and a Dragonstone on a furnace. The easiest way to obtain a Dragonstone is by getting an Uncut Dragonstone from a Bag full of gems (acquired via Star Mining or Motherlode Mine) and then cutting it with Level 55 Crafting. After that, create a Dragonstone amulet by using the ball of wool on the Dragonstone amulet (u). Finally, create an Amulet of Glory by using the Lvl-5 Enchant on it which requires 1 Cosmic Rune, 15 Water Runes, and 15 Earth Runes.

Charging an Amulet of Glory
To charge your Amulet of Glory, you’ll need to visit the Fountain of Heroes at the Heroes’ Guild or the Fountain of Uhld at the Myths’ Guild. You can also take your uncharged Amulet of Glory to the Fountain of Rune in the Wilderness. This also requires completion of the Heroes’ Quest and will give you 6 charges instead of the usual 4. You also have a 1/25,000 chance to get an Amulet of Eternal Glory, which provides unlimited teleport charges.
Method 2 – Hunter
Requirements: Level 80 Hunter (Crystal Impling) Level 83 Hunter (Dragon Impling)
Optional Boosts: Hunter potion (+3 Hunter)
Ironman Hunter Guide – Two Simple Methods
1. Birdhouse Runs
- Unlock Fossil Island by completing Bone Voyage
- Reset every 50 minutes
- Super slow and passive, but adds up over time
2. Hunter Rumors
- Requires 46 hunter and access to Varlamore
- Like slayer, but for hunter

Crystal Implings require 80 Hunter and drop a Dragonstone amulet which will need to be enchanted and charged following the methods mentioned above.

Dragon Implings require 83 Hunter and drop both an Amulet of Glory and a Dragonstone Amulet. You’ll have to charge the Amulet of Glory and both enchant AND charge the Dragonstone Amulet.
Method 3 – Hard Clue Scrolls
Are you feeling lucky? With a 1/1625 chance per roll and an average of 5 rolls per hard casket you have roughly a 1 in 325 chance per clue to get an Amulet of glory (t).

If you are looking to use an Amulet of Glory for completing Treasure Trails, the Amulet of glory (t) CANNOT be used as a replacement for an uncharged Amulet of Glory. So if that is what you are looking for, you’ll need to acquire one using one of the other methods.
