OSRS 25th Anniversary Event Guide

The 25th Anniversary Event celebrated 25 years of RuneScape, letting players visit the Realm of Memories — a nostalgic area featuring NPCs as they appeared at the launch of RuneScape 2. The event ran in February 2026 and has since ended, but its cosmetic rewards remain obtainable from Diango in Draynor Village, so the rewards below are still worth knowing about even now.

This guide preserves the full walkthrough for reference, and covers which rewards you can still pick up.

Even though the event is over, you can re-obtain the anniversary cosmetics from Diango at any time, the same way past holiday and birthday items work. The rewards include:

• 25th anniversary helmet
• 25th anniversary warrior tabard
• 25th anniversary skeleton tabard
• 25th anniversary 5×5 hat
• Two noted half-full wine jugs

On top of these, all birthday rewards from previous years can also be (re)claimed from Diango, making him the go-to NPC for collecting any anniversary cosmetics you’ve missed.

During the event, players ran around Varrock with Gary, collecting mementos for all 24 skills by speaking with NPCs around the city. Once every memento was gathered, handing Gary a cabbage opened the portal to the Realm of Memories. The only requirement was a cabbage, which could be picked during the event.

The entire event took place around Varrock.

Players started by speaking with Gary in southern Varrock (marked 1 on the map above) and agreed to help collect mementos for the 24 skills from NPCs around the city.

Note: teleporting away or straying too far meant having to fetch Gary again from the starting location.

The memento route was:

1. Speak with Gary
2. Sword Shop — Shop Keeper
3. Blue Moon Inn — Cook
4. Blue Moon Inn — BigRedJapan (go up the stairs, then use the ladder on the western porch to reach the roof)
5. General Store — Shop Keeper
6. Archery Shop — Lowe
7. Armour Shop — Horvik
8. Church — Father Lawrence
9. Fancy Clothes Store — Asyff
10. Rune Shop — Aubury
11. Thief
12. Old Man Yarlo
13. Apothecary
14. Bush Patch — Dreven
15. Canoe Station — Tarquin
16. Blue Moon Inn — Dr Harlow

After gathering all the mementos, players returned to Gary, picked a cabbage from the garden next to him if they didn’t have one, headed upstairs, and handed it over to open the portal to the Realm of Memories — completing the event.
