It’s your first hands-on experience at sea, introducing the basics through a story rather than combat. You’ll learn to steer a ship, dock at ports, and transport cargo. Getting Started

Talk to Will or Anne on the Port Sarim docks, just east of the Food Store, and accept their salvaging job. Board their ship, take control of the helm, and sail south through the Bay of Sarim to the pirate wreck located east of the Karamja Shipyard.

At the wreck, lower the salvaging hook when Anne tells you to. It pulls up a mysterious medallion and an old cup — Will keeps the medallion, you’re left with the cup, and Anne promptly shoves you overboard.

Pandemonium

You wash up at the Pandemonium and speak to Squawking Steve Beanie, who reveals Will and Anne stole a map to the wreck and sends you to Ribs. Ribs tells you about the pirate Barnacle Barnaby and a curse tied to the medallion, then points you back to Steve, who suggests finding Old Grog — but first, you’ll need your own boat.

Get Your Raft

Trade the old cup to Junior Jim for a raft, then head to the shipyard to grab a hammer and saw and build a cargo hold on your raft. Sail to Port Sarim and dock, then pick up cargo from the ledger and store it in your hold.

Important: you cannot be holding anything when you pick up the cargo.

Route to deliver the cargo from Port Sarim back to the Pandemonium
Return to the Pandemonium to deliver the cargo and report back. Afterward, speak with Steve Beanie in the pub, who introduces you to Old Grog to help track down Will and Anne.

Quest Complete!

With Sailing now unlocked, the natural next step is Current Affairs, which unlocks the current duck and sea charting.
